This past year, you have generously sponsored our 2 projects, Sundarijal Children Project and the Pokali School, for which we are very grateful. Continuity is important where it comes to sponsoring these children. Your contribution helps secure their future, as this newsletter will show.

Who we are

Bir Bahadur Tamang

Bir Bahadur TamangBir lives in Sundarijal, a village northeast of Kathmandu, together with his family. They live from the income of an internet cafe, which Bir runs in Boudha near Kathmandu. Bir is greatly concerned about the lives of the poor people in Nepal and tries to do what is possible within his limits. Together with Willy he established and controls the projects.

He brings the money to the places where it is meant for. He visits them all regularly and has a weekly contact with Willy by internet and/or telephone. He is the general supervisor in Nepal of all the projects.

Willy Roelofsen

Willy RoelofsenWilly lives in the Netherlands and France and visits Sundarijal yearly.
She is a retired veterinarian who likes now to work on improvement of the living standard of the Nepali people.
When she met Bir she felt they could well work together. Willy tries to raise the necessary funds for the projects in the Netherlands, France, UK and USA.

Regularly she visits these countries and by explaining the importance of Microprojects Nepal she always finds sponsors for the various projects.

Both work on a voluntary base and the only expenses are those which Bir makes for the project, when he has to visit the schools, needs stationary for the administration etc.
